Emma & Paul were married on a wonderful summers day in Killanin Church Co Galway followed by a wedding reception in the Galway Bay Hotel in Salthill.
Emma's preparations took place in her wonderful new bright and spacious home which was pretty close to Killanin church. Beautiful sunshine greeted both James Ryan (Lovestuck Films) and I upon arrival.....I was delighted as I had been in contact with Emma a couple of days previously and the forecast wasn't looking to good for her big day! No need to stress about that side of things just yet!Emma was accompanied by her wonderful bridesmaids Jenna, Valerie, Molly & Emily on wedding morning and they were all in good spirits ....adding to the positive vibes that were very evident on wedding morning. Natalie O'Brien and Amy Johnson were on hair and make up duties and are always great team players on wedding days!
After the girls preparations, I got to the church in time to take a handful of photos of Paul and his merry men consisting of Martin, Kev, Dan & James. The Church looked amazing, well done to Emma's family  (James, Tommy & Nathan) for their beautiful work on same and it sounded awesome too, with the voice of Staphanie Healy (accompanied by Ger Madden) being responsible for the wonderful sounds reverberating around same.
Fr Martin Moran ( PP in Killanin) is a wonderful man too....a team player that helps everyone do their jobs on wedding day with the least fuss.....a good person! After the ceremony, the skies got a small bit more ominous looking so we did the Family Portraits in the church and swiftly moved next door to Ross Castle for the photoshoot. I'm grateful to the bridal party for their assistance for the photoshoot here.....some light rain drops could be felt when we started the shoot and we worked in a prompt manner expecting some more heavy rain to come. Indeed we used the shelter of the large mature trees for the end of the photoshoot ensuring Emma & Paul remained dry on their big day. As we were in our cars en route to the hotel, a massive cloud burst materialised.....you could be forgiven if you were looking for Noah's Arc.....it was a biblical shower!!! What was class however was when they arrived at their wedding reception, the Costa De Salthill looked awesome with blue skies and warm weather greeting them. Their guests were having their canapés and refreshments out on the veranda in the hotel and the views of Galway Bay was truly awesome...I was delighted that Paul & Emma's guests were able to experience same. They had time to mingle with family and friends before the meal....this is important for couples, it helps them to relax and indeed enjoy and absorb their wedding day that bit more! After the meal and speeches, Emma & Paul nipped outside to grab an evening photo with the lovely Ferris wheel directly behind them.....I appreciate your patience for this guys!! We were then treated to some entertainment from Jack Wise the magician/comedian before the wonderful Harlequin Band had the place hopping for the remainder of the evening.
Thanks Emma and Paul for being a dream to work with.....I really enjoyed being around you on wedding day....good people whose company I thoroughly enjoyed!
