Wedding Lodge at Ashford Castle

Marie & Conor were lucky to have a mild weather day for their
November wedding.....and they were a couple that were thoroughly
deserving of same.
Really enjoyed this one...and as always that enjoyment came from the
Bride & Groom...two good poeple whose company I and everyone else at
the wedding enjoyed.
My day got off to a great start....less than a 5 minute drive to Marie's
home which is pretty cool...and then bumping into the fellow
colleagues, James Ryan, Samanatha Foran and Caroline Coyne who Marie had
working with her on wedding morning.....good suppliers for a super
bride!
Really enjoyed the morning...relaxed and jovial vibes....thanks also to
bridesmaids Shairi & Angela for adding to things!
Made the very short drive to St Mary's Church in Headord in time to
capture images of Conor and his groomsmen Seán & Donncha before
Marie's arrival.
Fr Ray is possibly the most amiable and approachable priest that I know
and it's always a pleasure to capture weddings that he celebrates.....it
all added to the long list of things that made this an enjoyable day.
After the ceremony, we used the warmth of the church to capture the family portraits before making the short spin to Ross Errilly Friary which is a stones throw from Marie's home and a place where she would be familar with for some bridal portraiture.
Marie & Conor's wedding reception took place in The Lodge At
Ashford Castle and one of the bonuses of weddings that take place there
is that couples are able to use the majestic landscaped grounds of
Ashford Castle for a photo shoot. James Ryan and I really enjoyed our
time here with newlweds...an entirely relaxed shoot...so grateful that
we were getting weather that allowed us to shoot outdoors in winter!
Marie is a stunning looking bride...looked awesome in her wedding dress
and fair play to Conor for being able to relax and have some fun during
our time there.
Our final port of call was The Lodge At Ashford Castle where Marie &
Conor had plenty of time to catch up with their familes and friends to
absorb and enjoy their wedding day before they sat for the meal.
Thanks so much Marie & Conor for trusting me with your wedding photography, I wish you both a lifetime of health and happiness!
